We woke up to gray skies and drizzly rain and it's continued for most of the day. "Lazy Day Saturday" was instated early on and it was after 12:30 before we ever left home. Too wet outside to do much we decided to do a little drive by recon on a lake spot we'd heard about.
Lake Tashmoo is a stone's throw through the woods, but in order to get to the beach a bumpy ride is in order. The kids took great joy out of that while G and I thoroughly enjoyed the scenery. We'll definitely be there as soon as the sun comes out to stay.
After driving, lunching, napping, reading and movie watching (Carver's first time seeing Harry Potter) I decided that some outside time was in order. Although the rain continued we pulled out the slip and slide and had a big ol' time! Quite mild temperatures (not over 70 today) and chilly hose water lead to a cold slide with lots of giggles (and a few shrieks). Warm baths and breakfast dinner finished off our lazy day nicely.
